Odd; after being on Twitter for a week, all of a sudden, I can't log in from the web; I get this message: 403 Forbidden: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it.

What's weird is that I can still log in from my phone and I can watch the number of followers grow. So the account is functioning, but the server doesn't like my computer. There's no info on this specific problem in their support data.

Also there is a customer support Catch 22 - you can't submit a ticket until you log in, so if the problem is that you can't log in, well….

I've sent the info by Email, but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas about this.

hi jack! did you get my recent email about not following as many people?  That could cause problems…

Also, try to clear your cookies (tools internet options delete cookies)

or try a different browser. Let me know if that works…

Yep, I got the message about the ratio, so I'm waiting while the number of followers gets higher.

You've taught me something about cookies. I had cleared the cache, but that didn't help. Clearing the cookies did. How do cookies prevent signing in rather than assisting it?

I guess we have to think of a computer like a student cramming for a final… sometimes there's just too much info and answers come out wrong ;-)

Instead of waiting - try this…. unfollow  bunch of people. I know you use some tweet tools, so at least one of them will have a filter to say “automatically unfollow those who are not following me.”  It will do it about 50 at a time, and it should take a few days to get the ratio under control, then you can go back to adding, or setting a filter to add :)
