I am from Montana and recently obtained an original painting by mistake.  I purchased it at an auction when I thought I was just buying a framed mirror.  The original was duct taped and nailed to the back of the framed mirror to hold the mirror in the frame.  I am unfamiliar with artists and how to research it and what it might be worth and may possibly be interested in selling it.  Nobody that I have talked to here in Montana so far has been helpful and I am not very good on the internet, but was directed to this site where someone might be of help to me.

Can anyone direct me as to what I need to do to show a photo of this painting and to find out who the artist really is?

I have never posted on a forum before either, so it took me a while to figure out how to write this.Laugh
