If you have a book(s) on collectibles that you would like give some free exposure, we will put it up on the two collectibles sites listed in my signature. Here are the requirements:

1. You must be an expert in the field

2. The book must have value to a collector in and of itself

3. While you certainly may hope a reader eventually buys something if you have a sales site, the material may not be simply a teaser to make further sales or otherwise separate a collector from his or her money

3. You MUST be the Author and Copyright holder

4. No PLR, purchased  or otherwise acquired material is allowed

Contact me (Jack Straw) at “Articles(at)Collectibles-Articles(dot)com”, with book info or questions.

PLR is Private Label Rights. It is the bane of quality Article Directories. People take articles and Ebooks and sell both the material and the rights to resell the material and rights to resell the material and the rights…

So you can buy hundreds of articles in a package (which hundreds of other people may have already bought) and use an automated system to submit them. Good directories screen to prevent PLR and automated submissions, but that's one of the reasons there are several hundred article directories that have so many articles yet don't show up in search engines.

Additionally, many users of PLR try to “Spin” the article, by using a program that replaces some of the words with synonyms. The result is easy to spot because parts of the articles become (almost humorously) gibberish.

Late last year venerable Ezine Articles and How To finally had to start screening because so much useless material was was being posted.

If people simply want to get some links from what Google calls Low Quality Sites, this still works to some degree, but if you want actual readers and a good reputation as a writer, you should never try to use PLR material, which is really just a form of Spam, and you should submit your writing to directories that keep out the flotsam and jetsam.
