Can anyone explain why there is such a wide range of asking and selling prices for the same hummel? As an example on ebay, umbrella boy has a buy it now price of $650.00. The exact same piece (same marking and condition) has been selling through auction for between 171.00 and 106.00. Why would anyone pay $650.00? thanks, Jody

hi! great question - the answer is no one would. Be very careful of looking at asking prices vs prices realized. Prices realized are what they actually sell for. The people who put it up for that high are either very reluctant to accept the truth of the market, and will sit, or are not actually looking to sell it, just using it to drive people into their sites :)
