Hello,

We recently won this wood crate stamped
Loose-Wiles Biscuit Co, Minneapolis, MN at an auction and paid
$5 for it. We have tried finding some information ( in the crate were a few
other interesting items so we felt like we found a little treasure)
I know the Loose Wiles company was started in 1901 and became
Sunshine Biscuits in 1946, but how collectible the old wooded crates
are, I can not seem to find anything.
Any help would be so appreciated.

Hi! I saw this one going on ebay for $60, but it's a bit more ornate than yours…

Tammy,

Thank you for that information. We love the crate and since we live in

Minnesota it's nice to have a little history.

In the crate were two old grass clippers, a railroad tie, and a glass insulator.

All for just $5!

I really love auctions around here. We are going to another this weekend

that is sure to have lots of antiques. One I am hoping to grab is an old

high chair. I have a 6 mo. old and it would fit so perfectly in our house. We live in

a house that was built in 1880 and have been restoring it for the past few years.

Anyway, again thank you!
