Is it possible? A site that’s simply better than google?
I’ll let you decide.
It’s leapfish.com. I like them, it’s no secret! I feature them on my show regularly and I’d love for them to become a sponsor! hint hint leapfish execs! But here’s why I like them so much…

The speed is pretty amazing, and the layout and search options… pretty darn cool. For those of us who use video as a medium, it prominently features us in organic results….

Thoughts?
I get asked this a lot so I thought I’d address it here:

Hi you mentioned that the speed was pretty amazing for leapfish.
can u share what the approx speed?
Sure.. it starts searching as you type…. so if type in hummel fig… it’s alrady listing hummel figurines.
thanks about gravatar…been meaning to get m pic up to linkedin and now will get it done….
oh you’re welcome! we have them generate
the google app on the iphone already does the search while you type so I would bet you would see it on their normal site soon. The cool thing about leapfish is that the page sections itself off to normal search, blogs, news and photos all at the same time. Don’t know how useful that is, but it helps to put the different types of links in different spots.
If it turns out to be that cool, Google will probably eat Leapfish…..
why not having something much more better than Google , although Google will be still the basline for all of us, till we get used for others
Ryan you’re probably right, and i bet they wouldn’t mind!
It’s not only the speed which decides the popularity of a search engines but the quality of results displayed by it when searched also plays a significant factor. Until now no one search engine could say that it is a rival to google, only thing is they are not trying to compete with google but trying to bring a better product unique from Google. I would suggest you have a look at Wolfram Alpha which is trying to do something different in this regard http://searchcorner.blogspot.com/2009/05/wolfram-alpha-in-action.html
Though the results are shown from Google but the result varies. Good to see the blog results in same window
